Novus Thermal Energy Storage (TES) tanks are ASME Section VIII, Division 1-engineered pressure vessels designed for chilled-water thermal energy storage in mission-critical data centers, central plants, and industrial process cooling applications. Every vessel carries the ASME U-Stamp and National Board registration as standard.
Novus TES tanks are engineered around the challenge of thermocline preservation – maintaining a sharp thermal gradient between warm return water and cold supply water to maximize usable storage capacity. Custom internals are standard on every vessel, not an upgrade. CFD-verified thermal performance is performed before fabrication release.
The product line spans three tiers: packaged emergency cooling systems for small data center nodes; modular systems for commercial data centers and central plants; and large central plant systems for hyperscale campuses and district cooling.
Vessels are designed for outdoor exposed, aboveground installation. Insulation, structural anchorage, seismic design, and freeze protection are engineered in from the start.
